Polespark - a photograph of a lightning storm behind Brighton’s West Pier

In June 2017, a massive storm hit Brighton, two hours of almost continuous thunder and lightning rolled in across the channel. I’d been out the week before and failed to catch the previous storm so I was determined to get something. I spent the first hour at the water’s edge before shifting up the beach to continue my Horizons project. I was just setting up my camera when this huge strike hit. The Guardian used this picture numerous time over the following weeks.

This is a signed archival pigment print on 300gsm matte cotton rag paper. Each print is produced to order. The photograph is supplied without a frame, the pictured frame is for display only. It is available in a number of sizes, if you don't see one listed that you want, please let me know.
