Kaleidoscopes

As a child I was obsessed with my toy kaleidoscope, a telescope-like tube which created wonderful patterns as you turned it. For my photographic kaleidoscopes I take a cake-like slice of a picture and reflect, spin and repeat it to create a similar effect.
