90 Deux Chevaux - a photographic montage of ninety Citroën 2CV bonnets arranged in a grid.
I've always had a soft spot for Citroën 2CV's. They are the original utility car, they are easy to take apart, and also easy to add personal touches to. These 2CV's were part of a London to Brighton rally which ended up near where I live. I wanted to record the vast array of different colours and shades so I shot each car bonnet separately, making sure that it was the same size and position in camera and, once processed, arranged them so that the colours flowed like a rainbow across the image to make a graphic pattern.
This is a signed archival pigment print on 325gsm matte cotton rag paper. Each print is produced to order. The photograph is supplied without a frame, the pictured frame is for display only.
